Why did you decide to register to this race?

It seemed like an interesting event. We like pushing ourselves to the limit and we hadn’t done a proper hike in Lapland for some time, so we thought this would be like hitting two birds with one stone.

What kind of trip you expect LWC to be?

It will definately be a memorable trip, but we aren’t yet sure how positive an experience it will be, but an experience nonetheless. We expect mosquitoes, weariness, and sore feet.

Tell something about your team. What does the name stand for?

We are long time scout buddies and have participated together in several races ranging orienteering, scouting, and hiking. We named our team after the great outdoorsperson, scout, and author Olli Aulio.

What is the longest distance you have traveled in terrain (by foot) in 24 hours?

Ca. 70 km in a rogaining event.

What’s your goal in LWC?

Our goal is to beat ourselves, finish the race, and have a great hike in Kaldoaivi’s and Vätsäri’s breathtaking wilderness.
