Why did you decide to register to this race?

Anna had seen an ad about the race but couldn’t find anyone to go with her. Vesa had also been looking for someone to join his team and finally wrote a post in a hiking group on Facebook. He got some replies but very soon, after a short conversation with Anna, a decision to register as a team was made.

We both want to test our limits and don’t want to take the easy way.

What kind of trip you expect LWC to be?

It will be a unique race in one of Finland’s most beautiful areas. A physically (and mentally) challenging once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Tell something about your team. What does the name stand for?

Anna has a background in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and American football. She has also done a lot of hiking and long distance walking. Vesa is a hiking-master and he has also taken part in several hiking competitions.

We have been chatting in messenger for about half a year, but we’ll meet each other for the first time in real life right before the race so it is going to be an interesting set up. Our ”Team Lemmings” will go on and on like migrating lemmings

What is the longest distance you have traveled in terrain (by foot) in 24 hours?

Anna has walked many times 40–50 km per day on several consecutive days. Vesa’s longest walk in a day is 75 km and he has also done many 50–60 km walks.

What’s your goal in LWC?

To get the most out of ourselves and test our limits while enjoying the wilderness.
