Two members of the team Lyzhemysh are sailors. What brings them to Lappish wilderness?

Why did you decide to register to this race?

We are fans of rogaining, adventures and nordic nature. This race unites all these. We also like different summer activities but without heat weather. Tundra is an excellent place for it.

What kind of trip you expect LWC to be?

It will be our first trip to Lapland. We expect new experience in orienteering and a lot of fine impressions.

Tell something about your team. What does the name stand for?

Ivan and Andrew

Ivan and Natalia: we are sailors. It is our basic sport but we are fond of other activities like cross-country skiing, rogeining and we love travelling in the mountains.

Ivan is Andrew’s father. They are fond of travelling in the mountains and archery.

Lyzhemysh is a name of Natalia’s cross-country ski team. It is translated as SkiMouse but in english it sounds not so ridiculous as in russian. 🙂

What is the longest distance you have traveled in terrain (by foot) in 24 hours?

About 80 km. It was autumn touristic orieteering in the forest, 100 km away from Moscow, last week of October.

What’s your goal in LWC?

We hope to finish in time limit with magnificent mood.
