lwc-2020-team-komeat-ja-ketterat-eramadot-800
Komeat ja ketterät erämadot (Matti Katila and Ari Nevalainen) were aiming for the moon but ended up in Lapland instead.

Why did you decide to register to this race?

We were planning a trip to the moon but then decided a nice holiday in Lapland would be even better.

What kind of trip you expect LWC to be?

It’s like a mix of different movies: The Fugitive (Takaa-ajettu) – because of mosquitoes, The Shining (Hohto) – because of cold and hypothermia, Into The Wild – because of there is no more bus and Napapiirin Sankarit – well, it should be obvious.

Tell something about your team. What does the name stand for?

In the team we have two guys: the other can read map and other navigate compass. Team name stands for we are handsome and we are agile and we are slow like worms. There is no sarcasm involved, we are serious folks.

What is the longest distance you have traveled in terrain (by foot) in 24 hours?

40 km.

What’s your goal in LWC?

We are trying our best to not get disqualified. Secondly we try to count into five to not go overtime. However, if we do get lost, we do it properly.
