Why did you decide to register to this race?

Due to covid-19 situation it started to look like that every competition from triathlons to adventure/orienteering events will be cancelled this year. LWC seemed like that there can’t be so many crazy people to attempt this event so that it should be canceled, so of course we decided to give it a try. In addition, hiking and orienteering in Lapland is always fun.

What kind of trip you expect LWC to be?

We think that LWC will be a great hiking experience with many spectacular views and unforgettable moments for sure.

Tell something about your team. What does the name stand for?

We all are related so that there will be father and son and father’s brother attempting to LWC. The name is ”funny” twist from our last name Juntunen. Also, we think that there is a little yokel living in all of us so that name represents us quite well.

What is the longest distance you have traveled in terrain (by foot) in 24 hours?

Something around a marathon for sure if not longer.

What’s your goal in LWC?

To survive with as few blisters as possible and enjoy the experience meanwhile.
