Why did you decide to register to this race?

Taking part to this event is a challenge for us. We have never taken part in a race over 24 hours.

What kind of trip you expect LWC to be?

We are expecting a exhausting trip, wonderful views, painful legs and something to tell for the grandkids.

Tell something about your team. What does the name stand for?

Aivan Raato consists of old-timers from Helsingin Suunnistajat. We have taken part in many long endurance races in different sports. You can find our team in web. Our name stands for being totally exhausted.

What is the longest distance you have traveled in terrain (by foot) in 24 hours?

We have travelled 113 km by foot in 24 hours in rogaining at Vuokatti 2017 and we won the Finnish championship. By bike we have done 420 km and 4 700 m vertical lift in Norway (Jotunheimen rundt).

What’s your goal in LWC?

We have decided to do our own individual race and not compete for the win. We are going to sleep and eat well. Hopefully we will have a good race and we can travel 16 hours a day.
